Marital rights surrender, has anyone seen this form?
First time I've run across it and just curious if anyone else has seen this. TIA

Cassie I've never seen a form with that heading (seen everything else) that gives a spouse clear title. lol Is a lawyer involved? My bet there is and he/she is giving the client his/her monies worth. Or it could be state specific. Best way to find out would be to call the company who hired you and ask them. I would just out of curiosity. Perhaps PAW knows the answer?

Thanks for responding, no lawyer that I'm aware of, it's a second home in the state of Michigan so maybe that has something to do with it. I asked the title company and she said that it was an interspousal transfer, did not tell me why.

I saw a doc with a similar title last year. The couple had a prenup.

Re: Thanks Merry
I have ran across this form a couple of times in Missouri, it relieved the spouse from having to sign the spousal docs.

I have seen this form in Missouri as a RE Broker and
two or three times here in Florida while doing loan signings. In all cases, it was a second home for the borrowers and was accompanied by a non-homestead affidavit. It relieved the non-borrowing spouse from having to sign funding docs.
