Thanks for the advice. I have a HP LaserJet 1320tn and I just ordered a the memory card. It does take a while for the printer to download files, especially if they are over 100 pgs.

Re: Buying Printer Memory---

Try www.crucial.com. How much faster will this printer print with an increase in memory?

Re: Buying Printer Memory---Joan

I have a HP 1300. If I increased the memory how many more pages (approx) could I print per minute and how much memory would I add?

I also have a HP 1200 with the copier attachment so I don't think that one needs a memory increase as it is 4+ years. Maybe I'm wrong and both could use more memory?

Any help would be appreciated

Re: Buying Printer Memory---Joan

Joan, Increasing printer memory will move the data from your PC into the printer faster. This will allow the printer to print at the best speed it is capable of. It may increase the ppm, if your printer is waiting for data from the PC. If that is not the case it won't.
I really can't say as I added memory to my HP 1320TN as soon as I got it and don't really have a before & after comparison.
Where I have seen the most productivity benefit is when printing several attachments as I can open the next attachment and tell it to print as soon as the "printing" dialog box closes on the 1st job and so on through all the attachments. I'm usually finished at the PC before the printer is.
