flatbed scanner

I need to order a new scanner here for work. Actually I'd love to get a sheet feed scanner but they seem much more expensive then I think my boss would want to pay. Any suggestions?

I have a Dell 4 in 1 flatbed scanner at work, and I like it very much. It cost $300. Does not have feeder for the scanner. They were way too expensive for my boss. At home I have a Brother flatbed scanner 4 in 1. Cost around $300. It was a reconditioned one. No feeder for the scanner either.

Advise your boss that the scanner with sheet feed will make a worthwhile difference in hands-on time. It will take you an hour to scan 100 sheets at a time. It will take one quarter of the time if you have a sheet feeder.

that's what i am going to try to convince him of. although, we are usually just scanning a couple of sheets at a time whether its a description for a deed or something out of one of his law books.

Re: New sheetfed scanner around $300

I saw a Xerox sheetfed scanner at Office depot for around $300.
But keep in mind these MF machines comes with a scanner: I just bought a used HP6110 for $75 (on craigslit.org), just for the cheap sheet fed scanner usablity.

I recently purchased an HP Scanjet 4670 which is great for my home office and I can put in my messenger bag and scan copies at clients home. It works better than my HP Scanjet 5550c which has a feeder, but takes too long to scan.
