membership here
Everyone, I just had my first 2 signing completed. I got both referrals from 123 and none from this website, do I have to pay for my membership in order to get referrals from here? I currently have the free basic.

No, you are just fine with Basic.

The question was asked...
**do I have to pay for my membership in order to get referrals from here?**
Lee answered the question correctly with a "No."
If you have a basic membership and if they find you, you are referred for free.
This person shows up on the basic members' list for her zip code. In CA, that might not be the case if there are too many, if I understand the way the locator is set up. I believe in supporting this site by paying a membership fee but for CA this might work differently and Lee might know something others of us do not.

I'll retract that statement now that I've read that 'notarybycony' is in a highly saturated area. I'm not.

I just renewed my Premier membership here. I get more calls from NR than any other listings available.

Premier Membership
I was a basic member for a few months and got VERY few calls. Once I joined up as a premier member, my phone calls DRASTICALLY increased.

with 632 notaries in your area, you have some stiff competition! I am premiere and recommend it.

Not/Rot has been my best source for business. Personal opinion it surely would not hurt to go with the premier listing . I've had it from the start and it has paid for itself time and time again.

I recommend the premier membership
My personal experience has been the fee has been paid for time and time again by the number of signings I have received as a direct referral from this site as a premier member.

Re: I recommend the premier membership
I I am a new member also and I have the Basic. I did get two calls but I didn't answer the phone fast enough and they go someone else to do it. I don't know where they got my name from. I am really ready to get started but I'm sort of nervous to do my first signing.

You'd get more business being listed in one of the first five or six spots than being number 42 on the list. Premier membership is worth it.

Re: I just got a call
I just got a call from the east coast for a signing tomorrow. I asked where he got my name from he said here....I am a basic member and there are 25 premier members ahead of me (I asked for within 10 miles). Why did he call me? Go figure.

Re: I just got a call
I will tell you this, sometimes it's surprising to see how many people have profiles here that don't take the time to fill it out properly and completely. They just get skipped right by.

No, but as a premier...
I get just as many referrals from here if not more than from 123. :o) BTW, it increased when I upgraded. Well worth it.
