Has any one had a no pay experience with LIA Signing? Others beware!

There's been lots of posts on them recently, so I recommend a search. I did one for them just before I started reading about them. I hope I don't get stiffed!

Christine, I did a search on notarybeware for you and there are mixed comments. Most are saying very slow to pay by as much as 3 to 4 months, others only 2 months. I would be careful so good luck, Maureen

I just did a signing for them today! I looked up info on here too and found mixed reviews, and some confusion if were the same as LSI (I guess LSI hires them because that's who sent me the edocs and that's where I sent the docs back too), and also getting confused with Loansignersinc., so it was difficult to know if they were good or bad. Seemed to be a ton of notarizations for a refi, but otherwise went smoothly. Didn't do the faxbacks they wanted on the instructions with the edocs because I was told there were none when I agreed to it and had no time to run back home. I would have added fee if that were the case. Let's hope I get paid!

we see this repeatedly about this company. Why in the world don't you people complain in writing directly to the owner/president of the title companies and let them know who is representing them in the field. You know, just a FYI for them. Don't complain to people down the ladder - it's not their reputation at stake - go to the top.

Did one for them on 11/9/06 paid 12/29/06 50 days
Another on 12/29/06 paid on 3/9/07 69 days

I agree wholeheartedly that they are slowwwww paying, but they do pay. They always always meet my fee without any question. As much as I hate waiting like everyone else, we all have to decide how long we are willing and can wait for our money. Personally, I can wait, but others may not be able to. Personal choice. At least I have no time or money tied up in legal, bbb trying to collect.

I did one for them and when I kept getting excuses I informed him that I was going directly to the title company and my check went right out. Good luck.

I have accepted 2 signings for this company and neither have taken place. The last one, a week ago, I was waiting for the docs to arrive for a 6 pm signing 20 miles away. Another notary that is just getting in the business called asking for help printing docs and mentioned she had a 6 pm signing in the same town. We compared names and she had the docs for my closing. She had gotten the call that day while I had confirmed the appointment with LIA and the borrower on Monday. I emailed them inquiring what happened and was told the loan company sent the order twice and they "forgot" they had already given it to me. They said they wanted me to have it since they had given it to me first. Since the other notary was a friend and it was her first signing I said no, let her have it. Come to find out she was getting paid $10 more than I had agreed to! Needless to say, they are on my no not accept list. It also cost me another appointment since I was previously booked for that date and time.

I did a signing for [e-mail address] on 2-23-2007. I tried calling her cell phone and talking to her today about getting paid. At first she said she was Crystal and then when I explained that I did a signing for her in February and wanted to be paid, she then said she was not Crystal and that she was Christine. She just misunderstood who I asked for. I called back to the same # and got voicemail, surprise surprise. I now have faxed another invoice with TWO $25 late fees attached as we are now into over 60 days past due. I will not be doing any other signings for them. BEWARE.
