Just say NO to TU

And their latest blast e-mail of $15 edoc fees effective 11/1/07.

What?

You mean you don't think paying in "accordance with the current industry scale" is fair? How dare you believe your time is worth more than that! And you know I'm being facetious. Wink

Re: What?

Didn't we go thru this with (can't remember) last year...and it was vehemently rejected by all & sundry? Makes me wonder just where these VM companies get the idea that they can call the shots for Independent Contractors. We quote; they accept or move on.

Re: Shhhhh!

This needs to turned back and swiftly. The bad thing about this board is it is open to everyone including Trans Union and other companies. If they see success with TU then others will follow.

Re: Shhhhh!

This is a company that I signed up with again about a year ago after they lost my information.
They said that in my state the average for a closing is $46. They have only called me once and I did not do it for $46. But somebody is, and that is sad

Re: Shhhhh!

I'm still trying to get them to pay for a signing done back in August. First they lost my invoice, then I had to send them a W-9 on four different ocassions. They finally admitted receiving the last W-9 last month, still no check.

Re: Correct me if I'm wrong, however,

shouldn't we just ask them to send us an invoice along with the documents so that we can PAY THEM for the chance to do the closings and keep our minds sharp, especially since it has been really slow the past few months.
And "YES" it is sad that there are some signing agents out there that are so anxious to just go out and do a closing that they will agree to any fee, even if it is $65. for edocs. I see it all the time lately, more so than it was before. If they are depending on this work for their "bread and butter" I can guarantee they are eating "day old bread" and "generic margarine".

Re: Correct me if I'm wrong, however,

According to Trans Union, " they are lowering edoc fees to $15 according to industry scale".
But, they are developing a new interactive web site which will tie into your Blackberry or Palm Treo making your job easier. Wow, I am so excited about this new development.
