Lost check

Pls. I need help. I did signing back in August 2007 and I didn't receive yet the check. I was told that the check was mailed on Sept. 15, and again 10 of this month. I don't know if it was post office problem or it was not send to me. The company is responding my emails, but I want to be sure that they are telling the truth. What do I need to ask and not to be pushed around?

Why don't you tell them to issue the check again and send it by FED EX or UPS and see what kind of response you get to that. I bet it will be an "interesting" one - like, we don't use Fed Ex or UPS - then I would tell them to send you the check by registered mail. Maybe they don't use the Post office either !!!!

You can ask to have it sent certified or via ups or fedex so there is a tracking record of it.

Re: Lost check P.S.

P.S. Have them to also send you the tracking number if they are willing to send it to you by FED EX or UPS. This way you can keep track of it and see if it is really sent.

Re: Lost check P.S.

Make sure they have your address right. This was a ploy by FOX with me from wrong address to the check getting stuck in the printer making my address unreadable. Still not paid for this signing in May 2006

There are a lot of us going through this problem. I would ask them to give you a check # & to call their bank to see if it wa cashed.
Good Luck!

If they say it's been cashed

Ask for the check number and also asked to see a photo copy of the front and back of the check. Every check I deposit, I write their check number in my check book too, so I can find these missing ones. Sometimes I have cashed it, and when I see my signature on the back, that's good for me. If it has not been cashed, I have asked them to put a stop payment on it and issue a new one. This is just some things that I do.
