Checked out the site. They charge $5.00 per call that is referred to you. That would make it "not free" or I am missing something.

It is free to those calling for their directory assistance. When someone calls their 800 number to find a listing, they have to listen to an ad.
To advertise is not free.

Its advertising...so there is a small fee...

Free is calling the number itself to get a listing. Not free is advertising. IF a caller chooses to be directed to the number automatically the advertising Notary Service would be charged $5.00 however if someone just writes down your number than calls there would be no charge.

I use 1800free411 all the time to get listings. Its nice not to have to pay the regular 411 fee anymore.
