Notice of Right to Cancel

If the borrower does not sign the NRTC, and you have to go back and have them sign it the next day, what dates are you supposed to use?

Yesterday's date. The BO has signed everything yesterday. You are not notarizing the RTC and it is not backdating on your part. JMO

That's incorrect

You need to use the current date on the RTC as the form clearly states that the right to cancel is based on the date the form is received (as well as 2 other options). That's the only non notarized document where we do need to be concerned about the date.

Did you leave them two copies each of the RTC on....

the origingal sign date??.
The original RTC form returned to lender is , in fact, a
recipt for copies of the RTC. The act of giving them the
copies (and TIL if applicable) is what starts the RTC clock running.

Agree with Bob

the RTC starts with receipt of copies not necessarily the signing of them.

Right. Some don't require any signature at all. n/m
