OT: .swf files
Someone a couple or so months ago posted a link to a swf file on the leisure forum. I could not open the file. My daughter also sent me a link to a.swf file. Still can't get it to open. I have Shockwave installed and Macromedia flash. Anyone any idea why I can't open them?

Have you tried adobe? http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/ Since macromedia sold this to adobe, they may have changed some things....just a thought.

Hi Sylvia,
Have you tried an older version of the Macromedia Flash Player? You can get one here: www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=flashp.

I had a similar experience after going to IE7. Had to change the security settings.

Didn't help I have the security settings correct. My husband is running the same operating system and IE 7 as I am and he isn't having any problems with the files.

Re: OT: .swf files >> Have you tried to open it w/IrfanView?
IrfanView has a Flash Player Plug-in that will play .swf files.
