remarks about HDS

I became a member of HDS database of notaries. I can say that my signing did go pretty well, it just seems that organization and communication was lacking. The borrower admitted having to re-complete forms and at the last minute, while I was there, more phone calls came in about having the borrower provide me with a last-minute cashier's check. The borrower had to run to his Bank to get this accomplished. Several other phone calls were made by both escrow and people of the SA. Interruptions were a big part of the signing.
After the signing I followed up to acknowledge the SA and escrow that the signing was complete, etc. I was told, Okay, we have finished with this particular signing and thank you, etc. I then called back to remind the SA about one unresolved issue due to mis-communication, that is the second signer who was to sign a Grant Deed was not present and needed to be contacted. This person lived several hours from the first borrower.
A pause and then the answer that "I need to hold off sending out the packet until after it was decided "where" to send it.
This has never happened to me. I was quite organized, I thought and HDS has a most "professional" approach, however with so many over-looked details, I was amazed.
