Any experience with Packetel (Fax Service)?

http://www.packetel.com/Fax/faxServiceMain.asp

I'm thinking of signing up for them or Myfax.com and would appreciate any input before I make a payment. Thanks

I use Maxemail. They provide a fax number, all documents arrive via email, works great and it's cheap. Check it out.

I agree - MaxEmail Lite is great! It's $24 for one year (plus $10 first time set up fee, when I did it two years ago). I use my in-home fax machine for outgoing faxes.

I have had Packtel for about 8 months and have never had a problem or missed fax. Replaced Efax at $19.95 a month to $3.95 with Packtel. The only drawback is you can only receive faxes, but I have a fax machine so Im happy.

I use Extreme Fax switched over to it this year and I am happy with it so far. $7.99 month or annually at $6.69 month. 300 fax in or out.

Is there a limit on number of pages per month with Packetel? Does anyone know of a email fax service that will allow you to bring your fax # from another service with you? (like a cell phone #)

Packetel doesn't allow you to send faxes......

I thought you could have incoming/outgoing faxes...... but I was wrong.

I decided to go with www.MyFax.com because they have a 30 day free trial. I've tested it several times and so far so good.

Thanks for all of your input.........

Maxemail seems like the better deal; however, MyFax offers a free 30 day trial. If I like it, they will automatically charge my account $10 per month. With MyFax service, I can send 100 faxes and recieve 200 each month. All that I don't use rolls over to the next month.

I've tested my new local fax number like four times and so far so good. After the free month, if I don't like it, I'll go with Maxemail.

Thanks again for all of your input.

I'd like to get with one of these services & be able to do away with my land-line.
I'm not exactly sure if that would work. Any suggestions?
