Attention Hawaii Notaries
I was told by the Attorney General's Office today about some new and important additions to what we must do when notarizing documents. Please go to this link and read about Act 175 and all the information on the announcement.

I am thinking we can add the information they need in the form of a stamp since we use the acknowledgments of the lenders usually. The attorney general's office said a stamp should suffice so we don't have to attach certificates to every notarization. Just as long as the information is there that should be enough. I will be getting one soon when I am renewing my commission.
I don't know much else yet, but if anyone gets any more information, let us Hawaii notaries know.
