OT-Can an MPEG file be converted to a JPEG file?

I thought I was taking a still picture yesterday and was disappointed to find out my great shot was a video clip instead. I am trying desperately to figure out how to change the file so I can have a photo service make prints. Any experts out there know if this can be done?

TIA

You need the right software

Do you have photoshop or a decent brand of video or photosoftware program? You can freeze the frame and covert it to a picture. (jpeg file)

This was just discussed a couple days ago and for the life

of me, can't find it again. I meant to write it down for my own use, but didn't. I can't remember either who had the answer. I'll keep looking and if you find it, please post it again. Thanks

Thank you very much! It worked....

I had to download two different softwares. One software to convert the file from MPED to AVI. And then once it was an AVI I was able to convert it to JPEG.
