If you don't have a database to cover your closings, than why do you have a SS ?

Guess you will be paying more than you would normally then to get the closing done won't you Bob.

Not the typical $80 for an e-mail set, right ?

Re: I never said $65

True, but your "Exhibit A" to your application states:

EXHIBIT A
General Fee Schedule
Witness Only Signings...........................................$50.00
2nd Signings..........................................................$25.00
Refused to sign (during signing)............................$50.00
Refused to sign (trip only)......................................$25.00
Delinquent Status Reports…………………………. $10.00**Minimum
Late Returned packages……………………………$10.00** Minimum
Failure to Notarize documents………………………$10.00** Minimum

There is no mention of edocs or travel fees. So what are we to assume?

There are lots of other things in the application, but I won't go into them here.

No not a cat fight.

I just felt like having a bit of fun today.

Please don't anyone take waht I am posting on this thread serious. I am just having a little FUN with the LOWBALL SS that makes the rest of us SS look like (*&%&^ )

I just wish the LOWBALLERS would GO AWAY.

I wish the notaries that sign for them would wakeup also though.

I was told the fee would be determined on a case-by-case basis, the Agreement was no longer required, and no real numbers were ever discussed - it could feasibly be $65/$85 but he never said that to me...and my fee is substantially higher than that..

I don't get what all the hub-bub is about!!

If these guys are looking for a notary and can't find one from their database, what's wrong with going on this board? Do you people want to work or not? If you can't come to an agreement with the SS, or you think they are low-ballers, either don't answer your phone or just don't take the assignment. Good Grief!!

They want to call it "advertising". He is just posting jobs & they can take them or leave them. Good grief is right!!!!

Re: I don't get what all the hub-bub is about!!

So we get 26 new SS’s. None of which has done, or wants to do their ‘homework.’ They all just post here. Yes, it’s a good thing in a slow market to post jobs available….But two or three times a day? This is supposed to be a “chat board” for people in the business. Not some “I can’t be bothered to look for a notary” outfit’s personal scheduling service. What happens if another 26 new SS startups without a clue do the same? I pay to be here. I value my colleagues opinions. If I want to work for someone I’ll let them know. I DO NOT come here to continually see what I deem advertising from someone that I believe has just half as much intelligence necessary to make it in this business.

Re: Job posting forum

Right! And Les CO's points didn't occur to me before, but make some sense, too. (I wonder how much he is making on each of those assignments that he is too busy to make phone calls for.) I would probably feel differently if it were just a difficult to fill position, e.g. he needed a notary who speaks a language not common in that area.
