Applied SP3 over a week ago on two systems (have Vista with SP1 as backup on a laptop) and have not had any problems yet on any of the programs that I use. Others have expressed reservations.

Did all of mine a couple of weeks ago and no problems yet. I am really on the fence about Vista, have looked a Mac even but now it seems that there are people busy writing hacks and viruses for Macs.

I always wait a week or two before updating service packs. Let them work out the kinks. I'm with you about Vista. I'm seriously thinking about a Mac for my next computer just to avoid Vista. But I worry that Vista might not be able to handle some of the doc readers we deal with. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

That information is too technical for me to understand!

Installed it on my daughters computer, no issues. Even though both my personal pc's are running vista without issue, I see no reason to update unless you need to buy a new computer.. There is some backwards compatability issues with Vista as far as running older windows programs ..

I installed SP3 on my XP about 2 weeks ago and have had no problems.

I installed it yesterday. It's working fine so I think I'm okay.

I'm still on Windows XP, Service Pack 3 at home and at work.

At work, we'll eventually have to switch to Vista to maintain our support. At home, I'm hanging on to XP like grim death.
