Looking for a good resource on ID verification
Every now and then I get an ID that stumps me a bit (last week was an Alaska Driver's Licence).
I'd really like to find a good reference book on verifying ID's. Can anyone recommend their favorite?
I'm in an area with a lot of military bases and more and more I'm working with military families with ID's from all over the place. Thankfully, I know military ID but I'd like a better handle on secondary forms like other states' driver's licenses.

The one sold here on NotRot is pretty good - it shows pictures of various sample ID's that may be used in each state.
I know here in VA we currently have two different versions of Drivers License/ID Card in use. They started issuing the newer, more secure version last summer but the older version is still valid until as late as 2017 for the people who have them.

Thanks! I will check out the NotRot guide--I actually had never noticed that they sold notary supplies. <blush>
