Skye Closings E & O amount....

Just received email to sign up with Skye Closings but in agreement they require $100,000 coverage. Anyone else sign up and they in with less? I have $25,000 but would it be worth uping it to work with them?

In their e mail to me it stated they preferred, but not required 100,000. They processed my information with 50,000.

Try to carry as little E&O as possible. Frankly, if you have ever read your policy you will see that it only covers notarial error and probably does not cover fines, judgements, etc.

Uh oh--sounds like someone is following XYZ's "suggested" requirements. Of course, XYZ is also selling the coverage--get my drift?????

Individual notary's only req. min. E&O. Some states like FL is optional. If you have a Signing Co. you have to carry $100,000.00
They asked me to sign up, but hesitant on delivery all my personal info W-9, copy of my DL, E&O without getting any calls. My E&O is $30,000.00 and I don't have any intentions of getting more. Usually they call me with a closing, and then I will send my info...not the other way around. lol
