Printer question
I have researched through the orange button and concluded that the current two best printers for my purposes, (black & white, low cost toner) are the hp4200 and the brother hl5240. Do those of you who have these printers have any complaints? I can buy the hp on ebay for $189.00 + shipping and the brother on ebay for 137.68 + shipping. So, prices are comparable, just need negative feedback if there is any. Thanks!

How about this toner cartridge for the brother:

Almost as cheap as the toner kits with the cartridge included.

I have owned two of the Brother 5240s. One of the biggest complaints is that some of them had a real problem with crinkling paper. One of mine did that and was promptly returned. The other one never did, and is running great and after two years I still haven't needed to replace the drum unit. I estimate that will need replacing in the next few months, though. I buy the high capacity toner cartridges, and I only have to change them 2-3 times a year. Maybe I'm just economical in how I print, but I don't think so... I'm printing hundreds of pages a day.
I have since also purchased the Brother 5250 Dual Tray -- and I love that one just as much.
Whatever you do, if the borther shows signs of crinkling, return it quickly because it will always do it. I really like the one I have that works, though. It's fast and a real workhorse.

They are really different machines. The HP is a heavy duty business machine. If you are looking at it you should consider the 4200dtn which comes with 2 trays.

For some odd reason I didn't have much luck with my HP's. I ended up getting the HP 5250DN (dual tray) and really like it. It is amazingly fast & toner isn't expensive. I would recommend a dual tray if you're purchasing a new printer.

Re: Printer question ??
Your post sounds contradictory. By any chance did you mean you didn't have much luck with Brother printer (because you ended up saying that you really like your HP)?
