Can a TN notary perform weddings?

This is a new request for me, and I remember someone on here recently mentioned a first-time experience at this. I've done a Search but can't find the post, and I haven't been able to find concrete information that a TN notary can perform a wedding without any additional certification. If I can do it, of course I'll do a lot more research and gather a lot more information before committing to such an important and wonderful assignment. Thanks much!

Your SOS or notary handbook should say whether you can or not. Start there, it is a state thingy.

No

Notaries in Florida, Maine, South Carolina and some parishes in Louisiana can perform weddings.

Re: No

Louisiana notaries can no longer perform weddings. It changed a couple of years ago.

You could get ordained by the Universal Life Church.
