This ever happen to you?
Half way through a signing another notary show up with the same docs? Happened to me yesterday. Awkward! But it was like "beat ya!"

That almost happened to me. I showed up once to a closing that had been canceled. When I called they said they had called me to let me know. Not me!
Turned out they had hired 2 people. Sent me the docs and called they other gal to cancel. I just happened to know the other notary.

Similiar... I had the first mtg, another notary had the 2nd. Both there at the same time. Same company, same TC, same all! Beats me how they organize.

Had a bank loan officer show up with a second, while I was finishing the first from a different lender (same title company). She said they thought about using me but had the time to do it themselves. She asked if I would wait a couple of minutes to return just a few pages with my docs to the title company and had them all separated to do so.

One when I called that I would be late (I know it an hour ahead of time) they called another notary and once two of us showed up. Fortunatley it doesn't happen often.

I called to find out why I hadn't received documents and found out they had confirmed with two notaries for the same signing. This has happened twice

No, nobody has ever tried to low ball me with edoc fees. This would be particularly out of line in your situation where they made a last minute change on you from O/N to edocs.
