Re: NSC gives tests now??...

NSC used to be a good client of mine until they reduced their fees dramatically. Obviously, they're having problems with the notaries they are hiring and are now trying to weed out the bad ones, if they're testing. Too bad. Why don't they just keep the good ones and pay a decent fee.

Wonder what kind of questions they ask? Hope it's not too

involved as we're not authorized to go too far in our explanations.

I agree with Lee

I've done about four on my own - nobody around to hold my hand. It was all common sense to me.

I have done reverse mortgages with no problems. I looked at this test he is referring to last week and they are asking technical questions that are beyond what we need to know to do signings. JMHO

If you do a search on this board, you should find some info with links to materials you can study up on to learn more about RMs. I agree with Lee. Even though borrowers are supposed to go through a thorough counseling program, it's still important to at least understand the basics of how RMs differ from regular loans and the different possibilities available. Hopefully you'll find your answer there.

I have to add that I think it's asking a bit much for someone to take their time (and use their minutes...) to help you answer a test question... jmo
