Hired and fired in less than 30 minutes..

Think that's a record for me!!!

Called for a refi Thursday at 6 outside my home county..said okay...she says "we pay $100" - well, this is out of my county so my fee is $150...she says "We pay $100" - I say my out of county fee is $150 - she says Okay, I will send the confirmation over, is that okay?...I respond sure, as long as it's for the $150..and if the package is over 140 pages I'll call to renegotiate the fee.

I get the confirmation for $150 - getting directions and setting up to call borrower - she calls back and cancels - package is 170 pages so I must cancel.

Okey dokey...

Hired and fired < 30 minutes, probably a good thing ...

if not one of your "regulars", and you have to chase down your payment. BTW, how do they stack up on SC?

Mixed reviews...lower ones not really bad

some state longer payment - I've done one for their parent company - was paid well and timely...

I'm just don't see how $100 is profitable when you're printing 350 pages and taking 4-5 hours for printing, travel and closing time...maybe I'm missing something...but no matter...my out of county fee is what it is for a reason and that's why I stick to it.

I hear things are slow in FL, but not slow enough to lose money. Probably many notaries closer than you, so the scheduling company didn’t get hurt. You made the correct decision. JMO

Absolutely ridiculous! I once got a pkg for 250 pgs @ 8:45

pm! the signing was scheduled for 7:30!!! Got there at 10; finished at midnight (in the boondocks no less)! They(3 ppl) ended up holding me hostage, robbing me of my docs & I had to call 911 to exit safely. The SS gave me an extra $25 for my trouble & endangering my life!
Now, if the pkg is over 150 pgs, or they are too late for me to START by 9pm, I just say no!!
I know some won't cxl no matter how large or late the pkg is, but I say this:

To all you TCs who think you can send whatever you want & whenever you finally get around doing your JOB:

I agreed to do a loan signing @ 10 aam- NOT 4pm - my 4 pm slot was already booked.
I agreed to do a reg loan pkg w/ 2 copies, not provide multiple cop was ies for ea. dept that will process the pprwk - that is NOT my job. A loan pkg is usually 70-110 pgs. I allow up to 150, but anything over that is abuse & I never agreed to be abused! Drop off a copy pkg at Kinkos & tell them to make a few extra copies - for free - it ain't happenin'!
