Well known title co. sends e-mail about 5 common mistakes

Others surely received the same e-mail. I had regular business from the title company until about 4 or 5 months ago. I called and spoke with the closing specialists just to see if they had any issues with my closings. No, but my price needs to be adjusted to get back to the top of the list. They are wanting $25 less per county. I told the individual that this e-mail about 5 common mistakes tells me that because they are hiring for less, that these particular documents are SA 101 and would not occur with seasoned notaries. I have some good paying title companies that frankly I am not going to take up the slots for significantly less. I guess I will stay at the bottom until those agents around here fill their calenders with SS's and won't be available to take the closings. I generally can meet my desired quota without compromising my fees.

Yep..I got it too...and thought basically the same thing

.....SnoopdogMs I'm glad you said that " ...... I am not going to take up the slots for significantly less." because I was thinking the same thing. So I have a five hour break, Good. Not going to fill up time slot with BS fees.

That's odd. They haven't approached me about a reduction in fees. They're still one of my favs of all time!
Note: they said in the email not to take it personal. I get those same instructions from many companies, so there must be a lot of notaries out there that make those very common, you should know better, mistakes.

They did not approach me. I called them to find out

why I had not heard from them lately and to respond to the e-mail and suggest to them a correlation between lowering their fees and receiving incomplete documents on the most basic documents that we handle (not that they don't already know that). Having spoken to one of the closing specialist, another agent called me back concerning my first call saying that I had a clean record, but my fees are too high. Even if I was to lower my fees, I know of one agent that goes out for $90 for them. My lower fee would still not be low enough. Once you lower it, it is in concrete in the system.
