Attn All title companies

When we have a signing at a certain time, we cannot wait until that time (or after) to receive docs. Someone seems to be forgetting that it takes time to print them, as well as drive to the location. Also, the borrower needs to know how much they need to get a cashiers check for in enough time to go to the bank and get one before the signing.
Thank you.

IMO,this biz requires a lot of flexibility. We need to be prepared to adjust schedules if we can, and make allowances for things like the check issue. Several times I've had to give the borrowers a separate shipping label to send their check. It pays off. I had a situation the other day that required me to "think on my feet" to get a signing done. The ss was very grateful, and commented that many notaries would not know how to handle that situation.
I can also appreciate your frustration & need to vent. I had a pkg. last night that was 187 pgs.--total ridiculous--58 pgs of broker docs. I wrote comments in the file & alerted the ss that I can't do this & stay in business.

I think it is crazy and borrowers think so to that same/similar affidavits from both the lender and the title company have to be signed. It is redundant and takes that many more pages in the package and time at the signing.
Guess they don't trust each other.
And then they want both sets faxed.

And I notice duplicate documents are the "norm" with and edoc pkg and never, if rarely, occur when it's an over night pkg.

Why is that???

1. because they don''t have to print them
2. more is better
3. Aunt Sally & Uncle John need to be on board with this
4. because they can
5. the moon rises at 9:32 pm
6. no paper involved for them
7. no children or animals were harmed this way
8. they have heard of Hugh

Funny....but still, isn't it extra work for them too to attach all the extra "stuff". Wouldn't it be easier and faster for title companies to streamline their pkgs and just email us what's necessary? For example this morning, I had a signing with 3 signers, docs were o/n'd to me. Very simple loan, 9 RTC, exactly what is required.....but why do I imagine if it were an email pkg for me to print I would had 24 RTC's or some crazy number? Why why why?????
