Buying Printers on Ebay
I'm in the market for a laser printer, but since I will only be working as a notary part time, I really don't want to spend alot right now. Can anyone tell me if you have purchased a printer on ebay? I've been burned before by an ipod on ebay so I'm a little apprehensive with buying a big item. tia

I just purchased a HP LaserJet 4050TN from EBay and I am very happy with my purchase. My experience with EBay is 95% positive.

I purchased a HP 2420 years ago and thought I bought it brand new out of the box, NOT. It was reconditioned but the 2420 has been a workhorse. This old fella has over 267,000 pgs and still truckin so I have no complaints. The next printer I bought was from Amazon which I've found more reliable. It does sound like you would be open to a reconditioned one, yes? I carry extended warranties on my printers for a couple of years after purchase and found it's worth it.

I've always had HP's then last year bought a Brother. You'll find everyone has their favorites. I find the HP less noisy. I haven't used the Brother long enough to rate it.

Sorry Gina but I do think you should look for a factory reconditioned printer and not one that has been reconditioned by an independent person/company.
