Collection ability in Texas
Good news for independent/subcontractors in Texas!!
"Texas Supreme Court Confirms Rights of Subcontractors to Sue GCs" GC being General Contractors.
The only question I see as NSAs is who is the general contractor: the SS, Title/Escrow co/lender. Send them all a invoice and reference the now case law as it in Texas.

You might want to check with a TX atty. This may apply
only to work involving physical improvement to real estate.

Sid, you're not a subcontractor - you're an
Independent Contractor. Are you saying that up until now you didn't have the right to sue a company that owes you money?

I am not an attorney. Yes we have had the right to sue for monies owed us. But most amounts are for small claims courts. No this does not just apply fo physical contractors and Yes we are are true subcontractors. The is case law that has been decided by the Texas Supreme Court which means if it is refernece in like cases, it should determin the outcome of the case. It would give you the "upper hand" if you were to file a suit.

As I said, not legal advice, but this case does not appear
to apply to a typical NSA situation.
