Printer message

Can anyone with computer knowledge answer this? While receiving documents for a loan signing, my computer suddenly stopped with the message "No print cartridge" on the screen. I have an HP LaserJet 3015 printer. Naturally, HP customer service is unavailable (phone lines constantly busy) but I need to know what that means if it happens again. When that showed up on my screen, I thought my cartridge was empty so I inserted my spare (new one) cartridge. When that one began the printing, it too read out the same message. I unplugged the printer cord for about 10 seconds & when I restarted the printer, it again showed the same message. I reinserted the first one & all documents printed out OK for unk reason. Sorry for the long message, but I need an answer. It was close to my appt time so I was stressing out.

I was told to unplug the printer from the wall for 10 min and then put the print cartridge in plug back into the wall after the 10 min and turn on the printer. this will also take care tof the problem when the printer does not except the cartridge ( not HP made)
