TO Chris @ NotaryNow

I don't want this to get lost in the shuffle of the thread below. My question is, "What states are you actively performing notarizations in at this time?"

What states find this a legel notarization?

Thanks

I am glad for the interchange.

Then try harder, Robert. This kind of allegation just has no place here.

Hard to be civil to someone trying to steal our business and taking advantage of the public.
We will see how chris responds to the NJ Attorney General.
Don''t mess with Jersey!

Doing a search on the address that this site is registered to turned up some interesting links. Where is Sylvia? And, why isn't she getting all the info put together to show us a clear picture?

E-notarizations

At this time, The State of Alabama does not accept eletronic notarizations. I spoke with the SOS. They are not accepted in many other states as well.

I have questions...who is Chris...and is he a notary??

I mean I know he's the driving force behind this website..but who is he..really? An official? A notary with what sounds like a good idea to him? Or just an entrepreneur hoping to cash before he's found out..

Where did he come from? See what I'm getting at?

Appear before...Natl. Assoc. of SOSs

National Association of Secretaries of State, National E-Notarization Standards, adopted July 12, 2006.

10. “Physical appearance” and “appears before the notary” mean that the principal
and the notary public are physically close enough to see, hear, communicate with, and
give documents to each other without reliance on electronic devices such as telephones,
computers, video cameras or facsimile machines.

You must appear in person before the notary. That standard pretty much covers all the states in the U.S.

I checked their site to see if it had been changed since 2006. It hasn't.

Every time someone asks about a particular state he replies that they are not utilizing notaries from that particular state.

BUT - he still has not told us what states he IS utilizing notaries in. I'm wondering if this is all a big farce, drummed up to get NotaryRotary's members in an uproar.

Well, it's been posted elsewhere by someone

else the other day and Chris (or is it Michael) today....

And there is also that listing on the numbers site ... I think Breda posted it but I could be wrong...I'm so confused.,,

If it IS a ploy to get NotRot riled...it's being done on numerous sites.
