rescission calander - printing darker - help

I printed the calendar on each of my printers and each time it came out grey rather than dark enough for my elder eyes to read quickly. Any tips? Thanks.

I've prepared two additional versions of the calendar with slightly larger rescission numbers and more contrast. The second is a black-and-white version:

Why did you put so much solid black to use lots of toner?
Just curious.
