Apple has prevailed over Samsung in its patent case ...

... and is now seeking to push the "offending" Samsung products off store shelves, including the company's Galaxy and Droid phones. Does anybody have any idea whether this will impact the capabilities of the Droids we users now have? Are we going to lose any apps? Do I need to go back to my flip phone? Should I be using my Ouija board to hurl imprecations down on the head of the late Steve Jobs? Is it two tin cans and a string time?

Inquiring minds, senile though they might be, want to know.

I briefly heard something this morning and am curious

too - certainly hope I don't lose this phone.

The BBC has a story at

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-19391235

The gist of it is it won't make much difference for consumers.

No worries

It's not going to make any difference to any phone you already own, it may just prevent you from buying certain Samsung models in the future.

And we're not even sure that's going to happen - an appeals court may modify or toss the verdict altogether.

And the judge has yet to decide re: 10 products

stay tuned.
