Brother MFC-8480

Time to replace my worn out MFC-9800 workhorse after many years of faithful service, and I'm leaning towards the MFC-8480.

It generally gets good reviews, but there was one comment that disturbs me: "The one issue I might have is that when two jobs are sent to the printer, the printer gets confused and wants us to use the manual tray rather than queuing the jobs." Have any of you encountered this problem with the 8480? TIA

Won't scan to PDF.....also

can't handle envelopes - the feeder crinkles the envelopes and glues them shut.

Have the 8460 here - have an 8640 (I think it is?) at work - both do it.

If I ever get another printer it will be an HP.

I have the 8480DN. No problem with scanning. I do have the problem with envelopes. I get lucky with them now and then if I put a couple in but it seems a watse of envelopes. So I use clear lables.
