How to Create a Strong Password
Use long words and capitalize letters in the middle, three oddball symbols, and at least five numbers (at least). Examples:
Not this: ChocolateCookie!@$1234
But this: chocLaTEcoOkiE{">123456
Can't remember that? write your password in code like this: xxoxXaXXxxXkiXx"xxxxx4x6
No one can tell where the word ends and where the symbols and numbers begin and end.

Good advice….Now to go to the tattoo parlor with a list of my new hard to guess passwords, and hope I don’t need to change them anytime soon.

Acronyms make for an easy way to remember seemingly random characters. Tibscutws! The itsy bitsy spider crawled up the water spout! Better yet, use the last letter instead.

I refuse to do a password longer than 8 characters, I mix uppercase, lower case, numbers, and special characters... Pa$$w0rD... not one I use (any variation of password would be dangerous) but that would slow up anyone... As many times as I have to long on to different things during the day, and as many passwords as I use... if they are too long, well, it would drive me nuts and it's too close of a drive.... lol

" NOT a long drive, just a shot PUTT " "" "" = remembered phrase, not original thought!

I agree a short password can be strong too. I would still suggest capitalizing the middle letters and using the less popular symbols (at least 3), in any order.

In spite of any of our best efforts....
passwords will still be stolen from time to time. The reason is that those who steal passwords have equipment that randomly picks numbers, letters and symbols. There is nothing that anyone else can do about it.
