Mortgage Connect

I did 2 closings for them this week. They offered to pay me my $xxx fee. Notary Rotary gave them 3 stars so I figured they were ok.
Seemed courteous and professional. I won't do another signing with them till I get paid. This is my general rule. Will let you know.

12 Stars total for the following eight since July means that their rating the last few months is 12/8 = 1.5

I would have passed on this one.


8/9/2012 I have an open invoice from them for 4 months NC
8/7/2012 8 months to pay and check $100. short. TX
8/5/2012 pays low for work expected, hand holdy, and must use their invoicing NC
7/31/2012 $60 for a refi with a 16-page notary sign up? I don't think so!!!!! CA
7/30/2012 Pay under market & demand fax back for free. Provident is demanding. AZ
7/18/2012 Bait & Switch Want to Re-neogoiate after printed pkg. Demanding,unrealistic CA
7/12/2012 Met fee, but they require fax-backs and only pd after invoice at eom. CA
7/10/2012 Habitual LATE PAYOR. 3 months, no payment. Will not work for again. Game player PA

I don't rely on the star ratings only, but check the

comments posted by other notaries. You have to be logged in to do that. IMO if you had read about recent payment problems you may have dogged a bullet on this one.

They used to be one of my biggest clients until late July when they called and begged me to lower my fee from $XXX to $75/85 cuz mgmt is looking to cut fees. Also I have invoices totaling $925 still unpaid and about $300 of it is from June. They use to pay every 30 days when invoiced correctly BUT since Gabe left June 29. Its hard as hell to get paid and I was working with Jaclyn Fox and the invoices I sent in, partial have been paid but Im still waiting for the rest to be paid.

I dont know what is going on over there but they need to get Gabe back!!!!

Next thing you know they will be asking us to close loans for free. Everyone's expenses have gone up yet we are constantly badgered to reduce our fees.

I just had my driveway asphalt re-sealed. I got a quote from the guy last year but I did not have the work done. This year's quote is $100 more. When I asked why the large price difference, he said it was because his expenses have gone up, especially since he deals with a petrolium-based product. We do too with all the gas we use driving to borrowers for "their convenience".

I do not think that either Jamie or Gabe will go back! I finally got paid for April and May! Done with them ... especially that now they try 60 dollars with fax backs ... maybe they would like us to mail them a check for the honor to work for them?

I've not had problems before but now have payments past due

My 6/30 invoice hasn't been paid, which is very unusual for them. I called and they asked if I'd faxed--Yes, I had. Apparently they've been having issues with their faxes going AWOL.

Call Cheyenne, email your invoice and I'm sure they'll take care of you. They have always been very, very prompt at paying me in the past... and until June, I'd always emailed--for some reason I faxed instead that time.
