Deed In Lieu
Someone sent me a request to notarize a deed in lieu. I've never done one. Is it many documents? I read up on what deed in lieu means, but not sure what the actual signing will be like. Thanks.

20 pages tops. The owners are giving the house back to the bank. Easy work......

Just did one today for a TX property...
For two sisters surviving their late brother. 20 pages or so, only two of them needing a stamp. Simple.

These are quite rare
They pertain to real estate transfers in Lieu Parish, Louisiana, and are in French -- the only area in the United States where that is the case. I assume you do speak French? Lieu is best known for its crawfish festival each year, which is highlighted by crawfish races. The winning crawfish don't get eaten; they are sold at auction. Some have been known to fetch prices even greater than dressage mounts owned by a famous Mormon politician's wife. However, contrary to the equine dressage, Lieu crawfish dance only to zydeco music.

Only problem is they can get kind of emotional on
the part of the customer. I had a nice widow who was on the verge of tears last week. Wished her good luck and that I hoped that everything would work out for her. Very sad
