Flexible hours in this job....

...means you need to be flexible based on someone else's schedule, not yours! That's the thing I was most surprised about when I became a signing agent. I guess I expected most appointments to be set a couple of days ahead of time, while in reality, most of my appointments are same day.

What surprised you the most when you became a signing agent?

Flexible? I am still waiting for documents for a 3:00 PM closing. What are you going to do? It is not the borrowers' faught.

I know the feeling. I'm still waiting for docs for my 5:30 closing. It is now after 9:30. Called Title many times. Just got off phone with them again. Told that they got docs from lender at 4:35, but still haven't gotten HUD approval. Changing into jammies now.
