Help with gmail acct

A few of my emails are going to trash and I don't want them to. How do I stop this? Also, when I am in the trash folder, how can I send them back to my inbox? All the options I see are to mark them as read or unread. Thanks for any help.

check mark the message you want to move to the inbox....click on the little folder at the top and it says "move to"...
