I have a signing tonight for Tax relief
This is my first signing for one of these, It is only 9 pages, and is very self explanatory. I just have a question, what exactly is a tax relief?

Could it be one of those programs they advertise on TV - the ones that say if you owe more than a certain amount they can help you, they offer to settle your tax problems for less than you owe?

This is not the forum to determine legality of some
unknown program/company.
If you're interested, why not chat with client about it?
Remember, notarize, don't analyze.

I disagree with you on this one, Susan. A notary doesn't
engage in illegal activity. Many of us avoided loan mod application scams, etc.

A lot of them are scams.

I don't know if this is available in other jurisdictions ...
... but in Texas, there are lenders who will pay off your delinquent real estate taxes, and, in turn, the tax assessor-collector transfers to the lender the tax lien on the proper. The lender has all the remedies the tax collector does for collection if the borrower doesn't perform. They are quite common in Texas. I've been doing them for three years or more.

Re: I don't know if this is available in other jurisdictions ...
Yes, some states offer tax liens, others offer tax deeds. Educated investors and financial institutions purchase tax liens and tax deeds for high returns and low risk. Interest rates and redemption periods vary. Darius Barazandeh, Texas attorney and real estate investor, offers excellent course material on this subject at http://www.theinformedinvestor.com/
