Looking for suggestions for disability insurance

As I get older, the thought of not being able to work due to an accident or illness weighs heavy on my mind.

So, if anyone who is also self-employed has a stand alone disability policy that they like, I'd appreciate the information.

I suggest sitting down with a licensed insurance business broker. There are several types of policies for disability. Since you are self employed, this would be a business deduction from your schedule C (I am a CPA) once you select what you want. You can also talk to a AFLAC representative to see if you like what they have to offer.
