Did a signing for them back in April. I am trying to get paid.
I sent them the w9 still didn't get paid. Today they asked for me to send one because I had not sent it. I started sending them another then they emailed that they had found it. Now, they want me to sign a 'settlement company closing agreement' this is a confusing agreement as it looks like they are calling me a settlement agent? Has anyone else had to sign one of these?I was told that without this I won't get paid.

Tell them you performed under your contract with them, and you expect them to perform under that contract, which means they pay you.

If that doesn't work, send them a "Performance Agreement," with substantial penalties for failure to pay within 30 days, and tell them you will sign their settlement agreement upon receipt of the executed Performance Agreement.

Last time I tried to get married, the lady asked me to sign a Performance Agreement. Now, that's a cruel demand to make of a septugenarian.

I'm still single.

My experience with them is that they are very slow to pay. Now I only take signings with them if it is through a SS and I know in advance that I will be paid even if SS has not yet been paid. Good luck.
