What is with today
I am so slammed this afternoon/evening. I had to turn down about 4 or 5 signings for this evening because i was booked. I probably wont make it home tonight til really late. I just ran home quick to print docs for a last minute one for 9 pm tonight.

Well ya, my docs are printing. that takes a few minutes. (and nice that it was only one attachment). So while it is printing, I took 2 seconds to write what I wrote on here.

Low interest rates have been good for business! It's
been a good June & July. I just turned down a "last minute" deal for tonight. It's been a couple of years since we got those late, in a panic to get it signed, calls. I'm done for the day, and wouldn't have gone out again. Back in the day, some notaries were rested & ready for the late night crowd.

If I am tired and just had enough
I always turn down these SS's that call me at the last minute, and have never called me before. Now, if one of my regulars call, I will do whatever I can to satisfy them.
When they start out with "Can you help us out?" my knee jerk is NOPE!
Anybody else feel the same?

Yup - 'cuz they've screwed up and/or want to negotiate your
fee. Those are the worst: late AND low-ballers!

"Can you help us out?" is code....
for we're cheap, we're desperate and you can bet you'll never see a check!

It's my understanding that it's because of HARP III
I've been told several times, so I hope it's accurate, but I understand that July was the first month to close a HARP III loan (basically a program for people who are current but underwater and not qualifying for a typical refinance loan).
Most of the loans that I saw this month were HARP III.
I'm told that August and September are supposed to get even busier.
When I look back at past histories, my biggest three months EVER were the three months following the first HARP program passage.

I hope these next couple months are just as busy if not busier than July was for me.

Yes, lots of new loans due to HARP2, which I read is
extended to Dec., 2013. It opens the door to more people qualifying. Hooray!
