Why do I feel less professional closing a refi. at 11pm ?
When the borrowers have had more than 2 beers while waiting to refinance their home, on a Friday night, I feel a little uncomfortable and less professional in my work.

How would you know and why would you feel that way? The beers I mean. In any event 11 pm will always be considered an odd time to close to be sure.

While I don't do signings that late anymore, I have had
borrowers offer me a beer or glass of wine. Whatever the time, we are guests in their homes.

I still do...especially at EOM... I've had signers offer me a beer/wine too...of course I always decline...pretty tempting though during the summer in IE.

Pretty tempting, any time! A sparking goblet of ruby red Zin or Merlot. Yum! I'm dyin'. But all I need is for some borrower to say the notary was drinking alcohol during the signing ... or worse yet, was drunk. Yikes! (Then again, there have some signings where it might be hard to tell - sober or drunk!).

We are professionals…..professionals do NOT drink while working! Even professional bartenders. JMO
