gotta love it!
Took a last minute job for 9 pm tonight. Bad number for borrower. SS closed. Wonderful!

Do you have any "emergency" contact #'s for title or lender? Perhaps they can assist.
I just got home from a signing that should have taken 30 mins. Took double the time. Had to call LO several times to answer BO questions. Tough to reach them even when they do leave an after hours #. Rethinking my Friday evening assignments. They just don't go well.

I have noticed this as well. I stopped taking 8 PM or later appts except from stellar clients. Or maybe from a regular client if it's close to my house, but I have had problems with those also.

Docs arrived!
There was an after hours number to call. I called. They said that they couldn't get in touch with him either but somebody confirmed the appointment, So, we'll see!

In the middle of my Friday night signing the wife gave the 1 1/2 year old daughter a bath for an hour. Love 2 hour signing with 1/2 being the child getting her nightly bath.

OMG, so you were there one and a half hour longer than you should have been because of her rudeness? Does that constitute calling the SS to let them know or is it better to just drop it?!!
So sorry.

I had a similar experience on a Friday night signing. In the middle of the signing, the wife took time out to bathe her children. Grandma was there and could have done it, but all she did was watch TV. The signing got stretched out to over 2 hours in part because of this.

Sue, absent some acquiesence by you in advance of the signing that such a break would be acceptable, you are the one responsible for that happening. You simply say, "I'm sorry. I'm here to do business. You're free to call your loan officer and reschedule, but I need to proceed with the signing."

It worked out just fine.
