You are a Closing Agent and you took your daughter to a signing? Why?

Oh My..
If you were in some other kind of profession, would you still do this? For example, if you were an electrician or a home care nurse, would you still be willing to take your children? I'm afraid that this is why there are so many on this board who complain about not being treated like professionals. If this is the "general" view that Title Companies and Signing Companies see, then they're going to treat us ALL accordingly. How can we argue for better pay and against unfair practices if we treat our profession like we're going to a "family function"? This is a PROFESSION that pays very well if we would only treat it like a PROFESSION.

I don't have children, but...I have all sorts of
professionals, labor, repair persons that have asked to bring their children with them to my home or have them with them at their offices. From the people I know with children, all sorts of emergencies arise. Life is not predicatable, apparently and especially when children are involved. I'm one without children and I've never seen this as an issue. Just my perspective.

I'm thinking he's expanding the business - putting the
family in the family business? My first thought - he's been around long enough to know everyone's views on taking the kids to work. There is a back story here.

Some title companies specifically
state "take no one with you". Had a blast??? I have taken my sister as a witness per client's request that I bring one, but that has happened only twice.
Not a good idea in the future.

Was it a "Take Your Child to Work" Day?
"Take Your Child to Work" Day can be pretty much any time of the year. Schools encourage this. Was that the case here?
