FASS... 37 Miles each way edocs $75

I turned this down. She said she would get approval. Called me right asking if I will do again for $75 I said no. I need $xxx She said well they need to call the other 22 SA's in the area first before she can approve this fee.....haven't heard back. Guess they found someone who would do it.

My passed experience with FASS is to call and get your base set at XXX. You will probably get less calls but they be at your rate. I remember just calling the 888-270-3630, the rep set it up and I didn't have to go thru Vender relations. That was a few years back.

$75.00 =

1. Overnight docs (two copies)
2. Check in full in package with docs.
3. No Faxbacks.
4. Borrowers come to me.
5. Borrowers take package to drop at courier.
6. Dress code waived (IOW I'm in my jammies or sweats)

JMO and said cuz it's dreary and rainy today and I'm cranky and tired of hearing these ridiculous fees. If there were 22 other notaries who accepted that they wouldn't be calling you, would they?

Why are notaries afraid to put down what they actually got paid? You won't accept a signing for $75.00 but will accept one for $xxx? To me that's zero! I've accepted signings for $75.00 for 20 pages and less than 5 miles, I've accepted normal refi's for $125.00...not $xxx. Are people afraid they will be criticized for accepting $125 and not $150?...or $200? Just wondering...

If read by a legal eagle (lawyer) it might appear as collusion of pricing. Hence the $XXX. We don't need no stinkin legal issues on this forum or for the notaries.

Sue, I've wondered why it's collusion or price fixing if the notaries have the same or similar fees, but the SS can all decide to only offer a certain amount. Doesn't that work both ways?

Yesterday I did an Acknowledgement (2 of them) and I got $55 (no printing and took me 10 mins/and no questions asked). $10 for each Notarization and $35 travel fee. Why would I do an entire loan for $60 or $75?

Blowing mine up too, offered $70 for one 39 miles away! I can't even figure out how I got on their list! I've told them my fees before but they keep up with the lowball spam.... maybe I should set a filter to auto-delete anything from them...

I'm not even sure I'd do it under those conditions, but I like the way you think
