FASS and First American Title

How are these two related. I see FASS has bad reviews on the SC and FATCO has great reviews. But they use the same logo?

I thought FASS was the signing service for FATCO and that they were affiliated.

That is what I understand too. I believe it stands for First American Signing Services - FASS.

I had done approximately 60 signings for FASS in recent years, but had to part
ways when they refused to accept a background check from a different company and
insisted i pay additional to have NNA also conduct a background check. Too bad.
They were good to work with and quick to pay

First American Signature Services (FASS) is a product sold by First American Title.

First American Title Company (FATCO) offices do not necessarily have to use FASS for their signings.

Therefore, you can have different experiences with FASS and FATCO. Since it is a national company, you can have different experiences within these entities depending on which office you deal with.
