Servicelink background check update, why only two vendors?
I used the orange button. I still need info whether I should get my background check here at Notrot. or somewhere else.
This is the email: Background Check – acceptable to ServiceLink (detailed information listed below)
This is the requirement for each associate in a firm and each individual is responsible for the cost of each background check. Below are the options and the requirements:
Notary
· National Notary Association (NNA) Background Check Report (dated within 2 years); OR
· Print Screen of Signing Agent Details from the NNA website; OR
· NNA Background Check Certificate (issued within 2 years); OR
o Visit www.nationalnotary.org or contact the NNA at 800-876-6827 for a copy
· USA Special Services Background Check.
USA Special Services, LLC will include the following checks:
· Social Security Trace
· Multi-State Sex Offender Database
· FBI Terrorist List
· Federal/State/Local Wanted Fugitive Lists
· Specially Designated Nationals List as published by OFAC
· EPLS (Excluded Parties List System)
· LDP (Limited Denial of Participation) It seems to me the background check here at notrot does the same thing. I refuse to give xyz any dough.

The one done through NotRot is more accurate than the one commissioned by the NNA. Plus, if I recall, the NotRot one also verifies your notary commission. The NNA does not do that. I had both done in the same month, mostly for curiosity's sake. Without a doubt, the NNA one contained errors and...the biggest flaw... they didn't even check local courts for the county where I currently live (and had lived for over 2 years now).
I described some of the details here: Msg #464004

Will Servicelink accept the one from Notrot?
If I call them, maybe they will accept it?

Just a month or so ago I sent a new one in and it was fine.

I would not call them for permission, just send what you have. let them get back to you if they won't accept.
