How I figured the vehicle cost is the total round trip mileage / miles per gallon (which for my vehicle is about 35) then times cost of gas + other wear and tear.

So for this

"Round Trip" "MPG" Total Gallon "Cost Per Gallon" Total Gas Cost
50 35 1.428571429 3.009 4.30
