Thats great Janet. The trick is to just keep moving. I've heard a lot of older people say that, but they never really moved much. Get the blood moving and the heart pumping with a good diet and you'll last long.
Some other tips I read:
Exuberant aging involves three more steps, according to the Swedish author Margareta Magnusson:
- cherish nuisance (including pain), - surround yourself with the young, and - say “yes” whenever possible.
Here's an interesting article on an aging athlete in San Francisco who just turned 100. He introduced me to running the Dipsea when I was younger. A very kind and interesting man. His house was literally full of so many large trophies they almost covered the living room floor. It was fun visiting and staying his family on 22nd street when I was growing up. My aunt rode roughshod on him only allowing him to eat eggs once a week.
Keep up the pace!
