That’s just crazy! I’m sure you’ve considered this, but can you make an appointment with the local office and see if a manager there can be of assistance? You never know. That’s really nuts! I was checking out a Netflix program (can’t remember the name) where the protagonist is a small-time grifter who pretends to be a collection agency and intercepts payments meant for doctors’ offices. He gives multiple bills and late notices and says that the payments were never received, and they need to be sent again and again. It’s like your crazy DMV situation with a twist.
I had an issue with billpay where the bank screwed-up and it took forever to clear it up. My payee never received the payment (to my CPA coincidentally). But, the funds were taken from my account. And the bank was charging me for their error. After talking with their 800# for over a month, making all kinds of promises, one rep said in exacerbation, “Look lady, we’re just the call center, you need to contact the bank.” And I said, “But, I am contacting the bank, I’m calling you.” They said, “No, you need to go to your local branch and speak with a manager in person.” So, I did. And they cleared it up.
What a pain these situations can be, I hope yours gets resolved soon. Orange is a nice color, but not on our Mr. Bear !! :-) |
